Fire Force officers in Bo have revealed that it was AfriGas that was left on which caused the fire accident at 12:15 Thursday Morning at 66 Baiima Road in Bo leaving residents homeless.
According to the Incident Commander attached to the Fire Force Station in Bo, Musa Lumeh, when they received the alert call of the fire engulfing the house, they rushed to the scene and met the house on a blazing fire.
He said that they tried their level best to put out the fire but destroyed properties including food stuff in the house.
Mr. Lumeh said that from the investigations, they found out that an Afrigas was left on which presumably might be the cause of the fire accident.
He said that there was no report of death but there were minor injuries as the people try to escape death.
He said that they are educating the public not to put fire wood with fire into their houses including combustible materials, adding that they should ensure that the Afrigas is off before putting them into their houses.
However, residents of the burnt down house has called on the people and humanitarian organizations to come to their aid as they are in dire need of help.
