Musa Bangura ‘alias Press & start’ has on the 18th January, 202 made another appearance before Justice M. Bawoh on one count charge of Sexual Penetration contrary to the Laws of Sierra Leone.
According to the particulars of offence the accused person Musa Bangura alias Press and Start between the 1st January and 21st October 2020 at Freetown in the Western Area of the Republic of Sierra Leone engaged in an act of sexual penetration with a child.
Second Prosecution witness (PW2) Detective police constable 7095 A. Blessing Sesay attached to the family support unit kissy branch said he was on duty on the 27th October 2020 when the victim accompanied by her elder sister reported a case of sexual penetration of a child was made.
He said a police medical form was issued through DPC Z Kamara and that an endorsed medical report was returned to the station.
The endorsed medical report was tendered in court.
Prosecution witness continued that a photocopy of the victims primary result was produced to as ascertain her age (NPSE) marked exhibit A.
He further went on that a voluntary caution statement (VCS) was obtained from him together with DPC 17685 Bangura.
Prosecution witness also said that he together with DPC 17685 Bangura A along with the victim and mother went to the scene of crime in absential of the accused at New Camp grafton on the 27th January 2021 and obtained a Voluntary caution charge statement from the accused.
Second Prosecution witness in conclusion said the accused before the incident was living with his wife and kid and that according to the accused he and the wife had a confrontation and that the wife left with their child and that the properties of the accused was kept in the house of the mother of the accused where the victim identified a particular cream that matched the description made by the victim.
He concluded that the accused was arrested and sent to court for another matter and was granted bail that had to do with police raiding of illegal drugs as at the time when the victim together with the mom and detective police constable and was arrested on sexual penetration of the victim
The accused was represented by H. Momoh whilst the state was represented by P.M Williams.
The matter has been adjourned for further witness hearing and the accused in remand.
