Accused Remanded for Alleged Becceles Street Murder

Frederick Kallon has made several appearances before Magistrate Isata Sellu Tucker of Pademba Road Court in Freetown on one Count Charge to wit murder contrary to law.

According to the charge sheet it was alleged that on the 30th January 2021 the accused murdered Abioseh Macualey at Becceles Street in Freetown.

The Exhibit Clerk DPC 17030 Mohamed S. Bangura attached at the Central Police Station said he received all records and exhibit to keep them safe for the need of the court.

He said on the 1st February 2021, he was on duty at the exhibit store when DPC 13931 M Kamara gave him fence sticks to record for safe keeping. He said he recorded them in the court record exhibit book with serial number SN. 14/2021. Since the exhibit has been in the custody of the police.

The accused person Frederick Kallon was asked by the Magistrate Tucker to cross examine the exhibit Clerk as he was not legally represented.

He asked the exhibit clerk if he was at the scene when the incident occurred. The police clerk responded no.  The accused also asked the police exhibit clerk if he took statement from him. The exhibit clerk also replied saying no. Matter has been adjourned to the 2nd April 2021.
