Accused Pleads Guilty For Fraud

Abdulai Massaquoi made his second appearance before magistrate Hadiru Daboh at Ross Road Court No.2 in Freetown.

The accused was before the Court No two count charge Fraudulent conversion Contrary to Section 20(1) (iv)(a) of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence Abdulai Mossaquoi on Tuesday 5th October 2021, at Beccles Street Wellington Freetown Fraudulently converted to his own use or benefit Certain Property that is five Cylinder head valued two million five hundred thousand Leones and one 99amp vehicle battery valued eight hundred thousand Leones all sum of three million Leones three hundred thousand Leones entrusted to him by Alpha Umaru Jalloh for the purpose of safe keeping.

During his second appearance magistrate Daboh said having listened to the prosecution and the Complainant the accused have pleaded guilty, the Court sees it as not waste of time.

The charge for which he is brought to the court is punishable for several years and he is a first time offender Magistrate Hadiru Daboh said in the circumstance I found him guilty of the offense and he is sentenced to the time spent in detention.

Sergeant 8534 Sesay G. is Prosecuting the matter the accused had on legal representation pleaded guilty of the offense.
