ACCUSED PERSONS DOCKED FOR LARCENY

Santigie Fofanah, Pateh Bah and Joseph Jusu Sandi made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Magistrate court o 1 in Freetown on conspiracy to commit a felony contrary to law.

The accused were charged contrary to section 2 of the larceny Act 1916 and  for receiving stolen goods contrary to section 33 (1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to the particulars of offences, sometimes in January 2021 at No. 11 Lewis drive Juba, Lumley the Western Area in Freetown Joseph Jusu Sandi conspired to steal property twenty five million Leones (Le 25,000,00) property of Daniel Ojeah, Henry Williams and Leslie Nicole.

During the cross-examination, one of the accused persons Joseph Jusu Sandi said the Complainant Daniel Ojeah told him to come and stay together at his resident to help him with his domestic work and thereby assuring him that the complainant would pay his school fees.

The accused person told the court on one fateful day the complainant came home and told him to put his bag inside.

 Hence the accused said he left the bag in the sitting room.

He further said that the complainant threatened him that if he did not answer that he took the money he would kill him. The accused said the complainant removed a gun and an axe to kill him as a way of threatening him.

However, the Defence counsel sought for adjournment of bail date to the 14th February 2022.

Inspector Kadie Taylor prosecuting the matter and  has been adjourned to the 14th February 2022.
