In a way to ensure the well being of residents in Police Barracks, the President of Police Wives Association Mrs. Sellu and her executive liaised with the Anti Corruption Commission Boss, Francis Ben Kaifala Esq at the ACC Headquarters, 3 Gloucester Street in Freetown.
The courtesy call was to abreast the Commissioner about the existence of the Police Wives Association in quest to address some of the felt needs of Police Wives and their defendants that they are experiencing in various Police Barracks in the Country.
Mrs. Sellu further gave a synopsis about her maiden familiarization tour upon assuming the position as president of the Police Wives in a bid to meet and discuss with colleague Police Wives in all the Police Barracks and plan the way forward for the development of all and sundry.
She furthered that one of the problems she came across within all the Police Barracks are accelerated to 99.9% were clean and safe drinking water and wash facilities. “These constraints are common in all the Police Barracks in the country, and the provinces’ situations are very sorrowful,” Mrs. Sellu said.
Meanwhile, Mrs Sellu furthered informed the ACC Boss about the development strides she has under taken to solve some of these problems, by constructed seventeen(17) wash facilities at King tom Police Barracks in order to solve their constraints,’ she said.
In response, the ACC Boss, Mr.Francis Ben Kaifala, thanked the team for such a laudable steps taken and assured them of his maximum support, noting that the President should identify the immediately felt needs that Mrs. Sellu and her team want him to address.
