Former Economic Analyst of A-Z Newspaper and Chairman of the Civil Society Forum in Bo district, Abdul Solomon Banya Brima aka ‘Power’ has been laid to rest at the CKC Cemetery after a befitting funeral Service at the Flaming Bible Church in Bo on Wednesday.
The Funeral Mass attracted hundreds of people across Sierra Leone including High profile dignitaries.
There were glowing tributes about Power’s contribution both in the physical and the spiritual.
The General Manager of Radio Bo Kiss 104 FM Samuel Hafner said that Power came to his radio to work as a volunteer and was committed to his work at the office without demanding anything from them.
Mr Hafner said, “We love Power, the family too but Jesus Chris loves him the best.”
The Public Relations Officer of the Civil Society Movement in Bo District, Joseph Blackie said that ‘Power’ had beautiful ideas in terms of project writing and innovation to take Civil Society to another level.
Pastor Yovua, who spoke on behalf of the Flaming Bible Church in Bo, said that Abdul Solomon Banya Braima has contributed meaningfully towards the promotion of the work of God and was recently, awarded a certificate in recognition of his service to the Youth-Adult Fellowship of the Flaming Bible Church in Bo.
Samuel Braima, who is a young brother to the late man, said that ‘Power’ was a mixer and a pillar in the family, adding that he motivated family members to be educated like him and it was the late man who motivated him to be educated.
The Executive Director of SMEDA, Mr. Sharka Sannoh said when ‘Power’ was recruited and posted to Bo; he contributed immensely to the growth of the office and what it stands for.
Pastor Lebbie who preached at the funeral service encouraged mourners to be closer to God, and be like Power who has rendered service to God and humanity.
Andul Banya Braima was also a member of the Local Police Partnership Board in Bo and the police representative said that Abdul Braima contributed meaningfully to providing security in Bo and the southern region
At Cemetery, there was a display of Boxing Dexterity as Power was also a weight lifter and Boxer.
