The Njala University Management Team led by Professor Andrew Baimba, the Acting Vice Chancellor & Principal of Njala University has on the 27th July 2021, paid a courtesy call on the Regional Police Commander South AIG Aiah Edward Samadia at the Regional Police Headquarters in Bo.
According to the acting Deputy Registrar Bo Campus, Mr. Habib Kamara a member of the delegation introduced his colleagues to the Regional Police Commander South. He explained the reason of their visit, which was to acquaint themselves with the Police Chief and to intimate him about the new administrative changes that have taken place at Njala University.
Professor Andrew Baimba, the Acting Vice Chancellor and Principal of Njala University explained that the SLP is an essential component for which one cannot under estimate their relevance in society.
Even though, Njala University is an academic institution, but they always count on the Police considering the fact that the University is dealing with a wider range of the populace (students) who are very difficult to deal with. Thus, the essence of the visit is to collaborate with the Police for mutual supports.
Processor Baimba further reiterated that the University has been enjoying a smooth working relationship with the Police since the era of AIG Mustapha Kamara on to AIG William Fayia Sellu.
He therefore lured AIG Aiah Edward Samadia to continue with the same spirit.
AIG Aiah Edward Samadia thanked the University Management for their thoughts and recognition. He further reassured them of his unflinching support at all times.
The Police Chief reiterated on his Policing strategies in a bid to forestall the occurrences of major crime in our respective societies.
He called on the University Management to promptly share with the Police whatever information that has to do with security related issues in their respective campuses.
