With much brawling and chaos bogging down the main opposition party, the All People’s Congress (APC) party has over weekend published a press statement dated 23rd July, 2021 from the scribe’s desk to put to rest one of many issues concerning the institution.
The National Advisory Committee of the party (NAC)which is the second highest decision making body in the party, in consultation with regional and district chairmen representing their various constituents has decided to convenr an emergency delegate conference with the aim of approving the newly APC draft constitution.
The release also states that the national secretariat and the legal and advisory team have mandated NAC to be in constant touch with the Political Party Registration commission (PPRC) to allow the party to select a date to conduct a convention to elect twenty delegate members to the National Youth League. However, these proposed delegates will further comprise of twenty delegate of the women’s congress, five delegates from each constituency that will proceed to conduct the emergency national delegate`s conference.
