The National Scrabble Association of Sierra Leone and their Liberian counterparts will lock horns in a three day`s friendly encounter at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex in Monrovia Liberia.

The Friendly encounter is the return leg of the friendly match after Sierra Leone lost the first leg back home in December last year.

Sierra Leone wants to regain back her prestigious ranking over Liberia as they are better ranked than Liberia internationally.

According to Christian Asgill, the president of the Sierra Leone Scrabble Association (SLSA),the team is in high spirits to face their Liberian counterparts and their mission in Liberia is to win and nothing else and they are better ready to give the Liberians a good run for their money.

He added that the last time in Sierra Leone during the first leg, team Sierra Leone was not well prepared for that encounter, according to Mr Asgill that was why the Liberians won that but he went on to say that the return leg is totally different and team Sierra Leone is going home with a win.

The President of the Liberian Scrabble Association Liester D. Morris Jr said team Liberia is very determined to defeat Sierra Leone just like what they did in Sierra Leone way back in December 2020 and he is hopeful Liberia will become Champions over Sierra Leone.

Speaking to both teams they ready to face each other as they both want to win their rest matches, both Scrabblers is expected to play at least 36 games in the three day event.

If team Sierra Leone losses after the three days Friendly encounter against Liberia it will affect their international ranking.
