There is steady progress in the preliminary investigation into the murder matter involving 25 year old Ramatu Bangura at Bamoi Loma in Kambia district. The Police leadership has revealed that a couple of arrest has been effected including the person that was in possession of the deceased phone, the individual that last communicated with her, the brother of Ramatu who is said to have identified the body. Also, the Police have invited the suitor, who was planning to marry the late Ramatu.
The Local Unit Commander (LUC) of Kambia Police division, Chief Superintendent of Police, Ibrahim T-Z Tarawalie says this is unusual incident unlike other crimes since he assumed office.
The naked slain woman was believed to have been raped multiple times and her body was said to have been dumped in a strange environment within Bamio Luma towhship.
It has been confirmed by autopsy report that the 25yrs old lady was indeed raped to death, while all body parts were intact.
A-Z also gathered that the late Ramatu Bangura travelled to Sierra Leone from Guinea with the hope getting married before she faced her brutal death. The LUC further confirmed that from their investigation, it haa emerged the Ramatu had stayed with three different men with the understanding of being married to each of them at a time. He said all three men and the prospective fourth husband have all been invited to the police.
.Speaking with Media two, ASP Samuel Saio Conteh said full details of the police will be communicated to the public within couple of days from now.
