DR Congo head coach Sébastien Desabre is expected to name his squad at 11:00 a.m. this Friday, 6th November, ahead of the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Sierra Leone.
The Leopards will face Sierra Leone’s senior men’s national team, Leone Stars in a two-legged encounter, with the first leg meeting scheduled for 12th November at the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa, before the return fixture on 17th November at the Stade El Abdi in El Jadida, Morocco.
DR Congo head into the double encounter sitting top of Group E with six points from their opening two matches, following a 2-0 win over Equatorial Guinea before beating Zimbabwe 2-1 away from home.
Meanwhile, Leone Stars are yet to register a point after suffering defeats in both of their opening qualifying matches against Zimbabwe (3-2) and Equatorial Guinea (1-0).
Sierra Leone is heading to match day three and four without a point in their last two matches in the current campaign as they are searching for their first three points.
Sierra Leone National Team Leone Stars have started the 2027 AFCON Qualifiers pathway with slow start, the November clash is must win if they are to get back on track for the PAJOMA Qualifiers and make their appearance for the fourth time in the Country Football History.
