Bhantal FC secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Wusum Stars in their Leone Rock Premier League Week Three encounter at the SLFA Academy in Kingtom on Friday, 23 October 2026.
Wusum Stars started brightly, pushing forward and threatening early in an attempt to take the lead. However, Bhantal gradually gained control of the match, with their lively wingers stretching the visitors’ defence and creating scoring opportunities.
Bhantal broke the deadlock in the 26th minute when Alhassan Sillah produced a clever turn just outside the penalty area, beat a defender and delivered a precise pass to Alusine Fornah, who calmly finished to give the home side a 1-0 lead.
The hosts doubled their advantage in the 37th minute after Wusum Stars lost possession in the final third. Bhantal quickly capitalized on the mistake, with Musa Bangura converting the opportunity following an assist from Alusine Fornah to make it 2-0 before the break.
In the second half, Bhantal adopted a more cautious approach, focusing on protecting their lead and maintaining a clean sheet. Wusum Stars pushed forward in search of a comeback but struggled to penetrate Bhantal’s well-organised defence.
Bhantal remained resolute until the final whistle, securing all three points with a disciplined performance.
The victory takes Bhantal FC to five points from three matches, moving them into fifth position in the league standings.
