Twenty-seven-year-old Jaiah Jusu Amara, a mason, has been remanded at the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown by Justice Adrian Fisher of High Court No. 1 on Siaka Stevens Street, Freetown, after appearing on a charge of sexual penetration.
Amara is facing one count of sexual penetration, contrary to Section 19 of the Sexual Offences Act 2012 (Act No. 12 of 2012), as repealed and replaced by Section 4(a)(ii) of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 2019 (Act No. 8 of 2019).
According to the particulars of the offence, Amara allegedly engaged in an act of sexual penetration with a child under the age of 18 on November 17, 2025, in Freetown.
