On Sunday 4th July 2021, a two year and two month old baby was discovered dead at Fallu Village in the Kakua Chiefdom, Bo District. On the same date, the matter was referred to the Regional Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in Bo for further investigations. A team of Detective Police personnel headed by the Regional Crime Officer South Division, Supt. Kanja Sandi visited the scene of crime for thorough investigations.
Since there was no suspect at the initial investigations, the father and mother of the deceased baby and their immediate neighbours were brought to Bo for further questioning.
During the course of the investigations, Mohamed Johnny a seventeen 17 years old boy made a confession statement that he murdered the two years old Adama Fillie while he was sexually penetrating her under a banana tree at Fallu Village.
The suspect further explained that when he realized that the victim was no longer active and blood was oozing from her vagina, he abandoned her at the back of their house and fled the scene.
The arrest of the suspect has placed the Police on the spot light for their timely response which led to the arrest of the perpetrator.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Johnny is in police custody while the investigation is in progress at the Bo Regional CID.
