Flot, a Sierra Leonean financial technology platform, has launched a nationwide “Link & Win” campaign that will reward customers who link their Flot wallets to bank accounts and conduct transactions between the two.
The campaign, which runs from October 1 to December 31, 2026, is being implemented in partnership with Zenith Bank Sierra Leone and Sky Bank Sierra Leone. Ecobank Sierra Leone is expected to join the programme in the coming weeks.
Under the campaign, 40 customers will win cash prizes every Friday for 13 weeks, with prizes ranging from SLE 200 to SLE 2,000. At the end of the campaign, one customer will win a grand prize trip for two to Dubai.
According to Flot, customers without accounts with its partner banks, as well as those with dormant accounts, will be assisted to open or reactivate their accounts and link them to their Flot wallets.
David Kpakima, Chief Executive Officer of Open Banking Hub, the company behind Flot, said the campaign was designed to bridge the gap between mobile wallets and traditional bank accounts.
“For too long, the wallet and the bank account have lived separate lives,” Kpakima said, adding that the campaign would encourage customers to connect their accounts and move money between the two systems.
Ugochukwu Irechukwu, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank Sierra Leone, said the partnership would encourage customers to participate more fully in the formal financial system.
He said linking a wallet to a bank account could provide customers with greater access to financial records, security, credit history and other banking services.
Fasasi Charles Adeniye, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sky Bank Sierra Leone, said the partnership was aimed at supporting the modernization of banking services in the country.
He said the campaign would also encourage customers to reactivate dormant accounts and increase their participation in the formal financial system.
To participate, customers are required to download the Flot app or use an existing Flot wallet, complete the verification process and link their wallet to a Zenith Bank or Sky Bank account.
Customers must then transfer money between their Flot wallet and linked bank account to qualify for the weekly draw. Winners will be announced on Flot’s official channels every Friday.
Flot said the draws would be conducted in accordance with the campaign’s published terms and conditions, with no additional entry fee beyond applicable transaction charges.
The company also highlighted the growth of its platform since its public launch, including the introduction of its banking, payment, card and travel services.
Through Flot, customers can hold Leone and US dollar wallets make payments, purchase airtime, pay bills and transfer money to other Flot users.
The platform also operates Flot Travel, which allows customers to search, compare, book and pay for flights through the app.
Flot said the campaign is being conducted across Sierra Leone and will run until December 31, 2026, with the grand prize being a trip for two to Dubai.
