It was at the Bintumani III conference organized by the Bio government that the initiative for a peace commision was born.The aim of establishing the commission is geared towards promoting peace, unity and national cohesion. The commission would be further tasked in mapping out peaceful resolutions to sensitive issues of national concern.President Bio has therefore appointed the right minded people to constitute the peace commision. Therefore, it has pleased President Julius Maada Bio subject to Parliamentary approval to appoint the right calibre of people to administer the first ever established Independent Commission for Peace and National Cohesion.
