Twenty-eight-year-old Jakamaiah Senessie, a security guard, has appeared before Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah of Pademba Road Court No. 1 in connection with allegations of conspiracy to commit a crime, burglary and larceny.
Senessie is facing two counts: Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, contrary to law, and Burglary and Larceny, contrary to Section 25(1) and 13(a) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of the offence, on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Hill Station, Mountain Rural District, Western Area, Freetown, between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., the accused allegedly broke into and entered the dwelling house of Abu Bangura with intent to steal.
The prosecution further alleged that Senessie stole a red, unregistered Apactrie motorcycle valued at Le40, 000, said to be the property of Abu Bangura, while the motorcycle was in the custody of Matilie Private Security.
When the charges were read and explained to the accused, no plea was taken, as the matter is being dealt with as a committal proceeding.
The prosecution was represented by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Eric A. Deen, who informed the court that he had served the accused with a copy of the case and inquiry file.
The accused acknowledged receipt of the documents.
Magistrate Jah subsequently granted Senessie bail in the sum of Le50,000, with two sureties in like sum. The sureties are required to produce valid identification cards, and the bail is subject to approval by the Deputy Assistant Registrar.
The matter was adjourned to September 14, 2026.
