Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, His Excellency Alhaji Momodu Koroma, on 28 July 2026 paid a courtesy call on Sierra Leone’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, His Excellency Dr. Morie Komba Manyeh, at the Sierra Leone High Commission in London.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between Sierra Leone’s diplomatic missions and advancing the country’s foreign policy priorities.
Sierra Leone maintains diplomatic missions across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas, with the aim of promoting bilateral relations, trade, investment, and the welfare of Sierra Leoneans living abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has continued to encourage greater coordination among these missions to ensure a unified approach in promoting the country’s interests globally.
During the engagement, Ambassador Koroma and High Commissioner Manyeh discussed ongoing initiatives within their respective areas of responsibility and explored opportunities for collaboration. Key areas highlighted included economic diplomacy, consular services for Sierra Leoneans in the diaspora, and the promotion of Sierra Leone’s culture and national image abroad.
Both diplomats reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the government’s development agenda, particularly through efforts to attract investment, strengthen international partnerships, and advance initiatives that align with national priorities.
The meeting aligns with the “One Mission, One Country” approach, which encourages Sierra Leone’s embassies and high commissions around the world to operate as a coordinated team. The approach is designed to improve efficiency, reduce duplication of efforts, and strengthen Sierra Leone’s voice in international engagements.
The courtesy call was described as cordial and productive, reflecting ongoing efforts by Sierra Leone’s diplomatic corps to build stronger working relationships and ensure that the country’s foreign policy objectives are pursued with greater coordination and purpose.
