Sierra Leonean Swimmer Qualifies in Women’s 50m Backstroke at Ongoing Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026

Halle Harris hits Personal Best, National Record and Qualify to the Semifinals of the Women’s 50m Backstroke with the time of 29.07 finishing 4th in Heat 4 and rank 12 of the 16 semifinalist and 12 of 40 swimmers overall in that event.

Marking the first Sierra Leone Swimming Team and Swimmer to reach this far in the commonwealth games. Credit to the tactician, Head Coach Gibrilla Kanu Bamba and his technical team for this great achievement as they strive for a spot in the finals tonight.

Halle Harris is placed in Semifinals Heat 1/2 in Lane 7 up against Hannah Fredericks and Alexander Anderson (Australia), Olivia Nel (South Africa), Amber George (New Zealand), Medi Harris (Wales), Emma Harvey (Bermuda) and Danielle Hill (Northern Ireland)

Semifinal will take place tonight at 20:28 PM (Glasgow Local Time) at the Tollcross International Swimming Center.
