The murder matter between the state and Intuma Mansaray Nee Bangura which is supposed to be heard before Justice Sulaiman Bah has suffered a serious setback due to the absent of one of the jurors and state counsel, Madam Umu Sumaray.
The accused Intuma Mansaray is before the court for proper trial on one counts charge of Murder contrary to the Law of Sierra Leone.
It was alleged on the face of the indictment that on the 30th of March 2020 in Freetown, the accused murdered her husband Mamoud Mansaray.
During the police investigation it was discovered that the accused person was a staff Nurse at the Lumley health center whiles her late husband was a Military Nurse
Shortly after the Matter was mentioned for hearing, the adjudicating Justice Sulaiman Bah noticed that one of the jurors that are empanelled was absent together with state counsel.
Enquiring from the Foreman who is the leader of the jurors, she told the court that the absent jurors Hawa Massqouio called and informed her that she got an attack when coming to court, the Foreman also told the court that state counsel Humu Sumaray was also unwell.
In that light, Justice Sulaiman Bah instructed the Foreman to check on her absent colleague in order to ascertain about her medical status.
He adjourned the matter to the 15th July 2021 at the time he Will expect all parties to be present.
