A painter, Salim Fofanah, has been remanded at the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown by Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No. 2 on a charge of housebreaking and larceny, contrary to Section 26(1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of offence, on Thursday, 4 June 2026, at No. 12A Babadorie Hill, Lumley, Western Area, Freetown, the accused allegedly broke into the dwelling house of Dominic Lamin with intent to steal and made away with one DJ drone and a heavy-duty tools kit, all valued at Le 78,540, property of Dominic Lamin.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused, no plea was taken as the matter is a committal proceeding.
Police Prosecutor, Sergeant 8811 Florence M. Wilson, informed the court that she had served the defendant with a copy of the case file and inquiry documents.
Magistrate Fornah refused bail and ordered that the accused be remanded at the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to 23 June 2026.
