Thirty-six-year-old musician, Adolphus Nathaniel Sesay, has been remanded at the Male Correctional Centre in Freetown after appearing before Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No. 2 on a charge of housebreaking and larceny.

The accused is charged with one count of housebreaking and larceny, contrary to Section 26(1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to the particulars of the offence, on 21 May 2026, at No. 9 Thompson Bay, off Wilkinson Road in the Western Area of Freetown, the accused allegedly broke into the dwelling house of Arnold Kamara with intent to steal and unlawfully took several items, including one electric iron, one water heater, and a mercury machine, valued at a total of Le29,850.

The prosecution alleged that all the stolen items were the property of Arnold Kamara.

When the charge was read and explained to the accused, he pleaded not guilty.

Leading the prosecution, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sorie Conteh informed the court that the accused had been served with a copy of his statement. He also applied for a subpoena to be issued and served on the complainant, who was absent from court.

The accused was not represented by legal counsel but confirmed receipt of the prosecution documents.

Magistrate Fornah refused bail and ordered that the accused be remanded at the Male Correctional Centre in Freetown pending further proceedings.

The matter has been adjourned to 25 June 2026 for continuation.
