The accused is facing one count of robbery with aggravation, contrary to Section 23(1)(a) of the Larceny Act of 1916, as repealed and replaced by the Abolition of the Death Penalty Act No. 2 of 2022.

According to the particulars of the offence, on Thursday, 7th May 2026, at Bismarck Johnson Street in Freetown, the accused allegedly, while armed with a pair of scissors, robbed Miatta Famballeh of several items.

The stolen items include one black and ash-coloured cross bag valued at Le100, body spray valued at Le50, cash amounting to Le1,700, one black head tie valued at Le30, lip gloss valued at Le10, three Yale locks valued at Le1,000 each (totalling Le3,000), and one ash-coloured Tecno Pop 10 mobile phone valued at Le2,000. The total value of the items is Le6,960, all property of Miatta Famballeh.

When the charge was read and explained to the accused, no plea was taken.

The prosecutor informed the court that the accused had been served with a copy of the case file. The accused acknowledged receipt and informed the court that he intends to cross-examine all prosecution witnesses at the next adjourned date.

Magistrate Fornah ordered that subpoenas be served on all prosecution witnesses. The accused was remanded in custody, and the matter was adjourned to Monday, 25th May 2026, for further hearing.
