As the 2025/26 Marampa Mines Women’s Premier League season officially comes to an end, the Chairperson and entire membership of the Female Premier League Board have expressed profound appreciation and gratitude to sponsors Marampa Mines Limited for their timely intervention and support in ensuring the successful completion of the league.
According to the Board, the sponsorship provided by Marampa Mines Limited will remain a landmark contribution in the history of women’s football in Sierra Leone.
The Board also extended sincere appreciation to President Julius Maada Bio for his passion and commitment to supporting football development in the country.
“The successful climax of the league fulfills President Bio’s vision of actively engaging young people in football while creating opportunities for them,” the statement noted.
The Board further acknowledged the support of the Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Sports and the National Sports Authority (NSA) for their unwavering commitment to the development of women’s football.
Under the leadership of the Board Chairperson, special recognition was also given to Babadi Kamara, the Executive Committee, and the leadership of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) for their invaluable support, dedication, and contributions toward the successful completion of the season.
The Board additionally acknowledged the immense sacrifices and commitment demonstrated by club owners, officials, players, match officials, supporters, and members of the media, whose professionalism and passion contributed significantly to the success of the fourth edition of the Women’s Premier League.
Recognition was also extended to media assistants, board representatives, and volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes throughout the season.
“We appreciate your hard work and dedication. Your efforts did not go unnoticed,” the statement added.
The Chairperson also used the occasion to call for continued support for women’s football in Sierra Leone to sustain its growth and positively transform the narrative surrounding the women’s game.
The Board further expressed appreciation to the Sierra Leone Police for ensuring safety and security at all match venues during the season.
According to the Board, the collective efforts of all stakeholders not only ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the 2025/26 Marampa Mines Women’s Premier League season, but also contributed significantly to the continued growth, visibility, and advancement of women’s football in Sierra Leone.
