Defendant Granted Bail in Alleged Theft Case at Pademba Road Court

Serry Modu Fofanah has made another appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown on a one-count charge of larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence, on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Soldier Street in the Western Area of Freetown, the accused allegedly stole by trick one red Air bicycle valued at Le6,000, property of Ibrahim Koroma.

When the charge was read and explained to the defendant, he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sorie Conteh, applied for a short adjournment to enable the prosecution to call its witnesses.

Magistrate Fornah granted bail to the defendant in the sum of Le8,000, with one surety in like sum. The surety is required to produce a valid identification card, and the bail is to be approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar.

The matter was adjourned to May 4, 2026, for continuation of hearing.
