Bo Rangers Beat Bai Bureh Warriors 1-0 to Move Four Points Clear

Bo Rangers maintained their title charge with a narrow 1-0 win over Bai Bureh Warriors in Matchweek 24 of the Leone Rock Premier League at the Southern Arena. The League Leaders, Bo Rangers have been impressive in the second rounds of the competition under the guidance of Coach Alhaji ‘Abedi’ Foray.

Desmond Thorpe scored the decisive goal in the 46th minute, firing the Rangers into a lead that they held onto despite dominating possession and chances in the second half. The former FC Kallon’s skipper’s goal was the difference between the two sides, as Bo Rangers looked to consolidate their position at the top of the table.

Abu Komeh had a chance to double the lead from the penalty spot in the 70th minute but failed to convert, and the Warriors’ goalkeeper Amara Kamara was outstanding, making several crucial saves to earn him Man of the Match honors.

Bai Bureh Warriors struggled to trouble Bo Rangers’ defense, and their star players like Koliko Prospere Haba were unable to make an impact. The Warriors’ inability to replicate their fine form from the first half of the league was evident, and they remain fifth in the league table.

The win extends Bo Rangers’ lead at the top of the table to four points, with Star Sport Academy in second place. Bo Rangers are now looking to build on this momentum as they chase their fourth title in five years.

East End Lions hold Star Sport to 1-1 draw

East End Lions were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Star Sport Academy in their Matchweek 24 encounter at the Approved School field. The match was a tale of two halves, with a cautious first half giving way to an exciting second half.

The first half saw both teams cancel each other out, with neither side able to gain a clear advantage. East End Lions, the Killers, gradually asserted themselves with a higher press, testing a disciplined Star Sport backline. However, it was the visitors who made the breakthrough in the 67th minute, when Alie Conteh calmly finished off a well-worked move, assisted by Osman Koroma, to score his 4th goal of the season.

Star Sport Academy responded with renewed urgency, and their persistence paid off in the 76th minute when Alie Ramadan Kabia scored his 7th goal of the season, heading home from a Sheka Sesay corner to restore parity at 1-1.

The result leaves Star Sport Academy in second place, four points behind leaders Bo Rangers, who edged Bai Bureh Warriors 1-0. East End Lions remain eighth on the table, with their attention now turning to a clash against Wilberforce Strikers, while Star Sport Academy prepare to host Bhantal FC in their next outing.
