Mohamed Moriba, a politician, former military officer, and Southern Province Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the All People’s Congress (APC), has made another appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown on a charge of incitement contrary to law.

According to the particulars of the offence, the accused is alleged to have, on Saturday, 27th December 2025, at Kamalo Village in the Karina Judicial District, North-East Province, created and circulated an audio and video clip containing inciting messages intended to cause mayhem, disorder, chaos, and unrest in the country. The material was reportedly published on a TikTok account named “Salone Gossip Hub.”

When the charge was read and explained, no plea was taken.

During the proceedings, Assistant Superintendent of Police Dillia Wellington led the fourth prosecution witness, DPC 14345 Mohamed Conteh, who is attached to the Exhibit Office at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters in Freetown.

In his testimony, the witness recalled that on 22nd January 2026, while on duty at the exhibit office, he received a pen drive containing electronic evidence related to the case from DPC 17886 Kamara A. He stated that the item was duly registered in the crime exhibit book under serial number 011/2026 and has since remained in police custody.

The pen drive was produced in court and tendered as Exhibit C.

Following the proceedings, Magistrate Fornah refused bail and ordered that the defendant be remanded at the male correctional facility in Freetown.

The matter has been adjourned to 13th April 2026 for further hearing.
