Margai John Sebeh Conteh, Admissions Coordinator for Sharda University in Sierra Leone, has confirmed that admissions are ongoing for the 2026/27 academic year, although spaces are limited.
Conteh highlighted that Sharda University, based in India, is a top-ranked institution, NAAC A+ accredited, and hosts over 43% international students.
“Sharda University is offering up to 50% scholarships worldwide, and Sierra Leone is no exception,” Conteh affirmed.
He further revealed that the university offers a wide range of programs across multiple disciplines, including the School of Computer and Engineering, School of Business Studies, School of Law, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Media, Film and Entertainment, School of Pharmacy, and School of Medical Sciences, among others.
“We take pride in providing multidisciplinary education to our international students,” he added.
Conteh stressed that Sharda University provides a unique opportunity for Sierra Leoneans to pursue world-class education in India, with students from over 95 countries represented on campus.
He also highlighted a special scholarship package at the Agra campus, where students pay $3,200, covering tuition, accommodation, and meals.
Conteh emphasized that the People’s Development Foundation (PDF) is the official representative of Sharda University in Sierra Leone, guiding students through admission, visa processing, and embassy procedures to ensure a smooth transition.
“At PDF Sierra Leone, we help fulfill your dreams of studying at Sharda University,” he affirmed.
As part of the outreach, Conteh has conducted extensive sensitization campaigns, including school tours across major secondary schools in Freetown, encouraging Sierra Leonean students to take advantage of this opportunity.
Sharda University’s scholarship program offers Sierra Leoneans a significant platform to enhance the country’s human capital development.
