President Julius Maada Bio is scheduled to speak at the 4th Future Investment Initiative (FII) PRIORITY Summit in Miami from 25-27 March 2026.
Invited as a featured speaker, he is the only African head of state on the summit programme. President Bio will deliver a keynote presidential address and participate in a fireside chat focused on Africa.
According to the President’s office, his address will highlight Sierra Leone’s recent reforms and outline policy measures aimed at converting the continent’s growing population into an economic asset.
His remarks are expected to focus on investments in education and skills training, including technical and higher education aligned with labour-market needs, as well as expanded digital skills initiatives.
President Bio will also highlight governance and regulatory reforms undertaken by Sierra Leone to improve transparency, streamline business registration, and enhance public-sector efficiency, demonstrating the country’s readiness for increased economic engagement.
The President is also expected to discuss the role of foreign direct investment, emphasizing “quality” investments that generate jobs and support local value addition through technology transfer and linkages with small and medium enterprises. He will also reference public-private partnerships and incentive frameworks that link investment to measurable job creation and skills transfer.
The summit programme features contributions from policymakers, business executives, investors, and global thought leaders. This year’s event will also include a special address by U.S. President Donald J. Trump, under the theme “Capital in Motion.”
Sierra Leone’s delegation will use the forum to showcase national reforms aimed at strengthening transparency and the investment climate. The President’s interventions will be closely monitored for any partnership announcements or investment pledges emerging from the summit.
