Bai Bureh Warriors Make History with Double Win Over Arch-Rivals

Bai Bureh Warriors FC created history by defeating district rivals Bullom Stars both home and away for the first time ever. The Port Loko-based side dominated the match, securing a 3-0 home win at the Port Loko Stadium.

Andrew A. Bangura opened the scoring, converting a cross from Koliko P. Haba who has been one of the most outstanding players in the league with 7 goals, 5 man of the match awards.

Bullom Stars pushed hard for an equalizer, but Fasineh Sylla’s chance went wide. The home side struck again, with Amidu A. Bangura scoring a spectacular freekick to double the lead.

Super-sub Santigie Kamara sealed the win with a fantastic grounder, capping off a memorable victory for Bai Bureh Warriors FC. The Warriors have been spectacular this season under the guidance of their gaffer, Francis Zappa Koroma, earning 35 points and sitting 4th on the league table.

Their Northwestern arch-rival, Bullom Stars are putting stronger force to make a difference in the league with 23 points in 21 games.

In the Leone Rock Premier League matches, Ports Authority edge past Struggling Diamond Stars FC 1-0

Port Authority FC secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Diamond Stars FC, with Abass Sesay’s early strike proving decisive. The lone scorer has been providing some exceptional performances this season for the Water Front Boys, making him one of  reliable goal converters the team can count on every time.

The match was a tense, tactical battle, with Diamond Stars FC’s relentless pressure unable to breach the Port Authority defense.

Diamond Stars’ Mamadu Juma Barrie impressed with an outstanding performance, earning the man of the match award but that was not enough for the two-time champions who are struggling to avoid relegation this season.

Port Authority FC’s victory boosts their campaign as they now sit 5th on the league standings with 33-points surpassing Bhantal FC. While Diamond Stars FC place rock bottom with 18 points look to regroup for their next fixture to avoid playing in Division One next season.

Mighty Blackpool shocks league leaders Star Sport Academy 1-0

Mighty Blackpool stunned league leaders Star Sport Academy with a narrow 1-0 win. Alimamy J. Kamara’s 41st-minute penalty proved decisive. Star Sport Academy dominated the second half but couldn’t breach Unisa Conteh’s goal, who turned in an outstanding performance.

Mighty Blackpool’s Santigie Koroma led the defense with authority, earning the man of the match award. The win sees Mighty Blackpool pick up crucial points in the league, moving them to 10th place with 25 points and sitting above Bullom Stars who were defeated by their arch rival Bai Bureh Warriors.

Star Sport Academy under coach Amidu Karim have been very much impressive as they lead the league with 41-points. Such loss gives hope to Bo Rangers and FC Kallon who are trailing behind by 4 and 5-points respectively.
