In a dramatic encounter during week 19 of the Leone Rock Premier League, Bhantal FC faced off against East End Lions FC, ending in a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Sierra Leone Football Association Academy Field.
Bhantal FC took an early lead just two minutes into the match when Mohamed Bangura capitalized on a pass from Theophilus Kamara, scoring from outside the 18-yard box.
The East End Lions responded with pressure, leveling the score in the 19th minute. Kwame Quee found the back of the net after a well-placed cross from Sam Diallo, making it 1-1.
Bhantal FC regained the lead in the 34th minute, with Emmanuel Ansumana striking from outside the box, pushing the score to 2-1 as the first half concluded.
After the break, both teams returned with high energy. East End Lions FC equalized again in the 57th minute when Suliman Kargbo scored from a rebound, making it 2-2.
In the 76th minute, Mohamed Fofanah put East End Lions ahead 3-2 with a well-placed shot off a pass from Mohamed Fogbawa.
However, Bhantal FC did not give up. Daramy K. Sesay scored the final goal of the match, bringing the score to 3-3.
Both teams pushed for a winning goal, but the goalkeepers held their ground, resulting in a dramatic draw.
In other matches, Bai Bureh Warrior FC held Mighty Blackpool FC to a 1-1 draw at Port Loko Town Field. Dominic Kargbo opened the scoring for Blackpool in the 35th minute, but Koliko P. Haba equalized for Bai Bureh in the 90th minute with a penalty.
Freetown City Council Football Club returned to winning form with a goal from Mohamed H. Siaffa in the 19th minute, while Port Authority FC defeated Wusum Stars FC 2-0, with goals from Abass Conteh and Mohamed Sankoh securing the victory.
