The ongoing alleged incitement case involving Mohamed Moriba, a politician belonging to the All People’s Congress (APC) party, was again arraigned before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2 on a charge of incitement, contrary to law.
According to the police charge sheet, on Saturday, 27 December 2025, at Kamalo Village in the Karina District of the North-West Province, the defendant allegedly created an audio and video clip containing inciting content with the intent to cause mayhem, disorder, chaos, and unrest in the country. The material was reportedly posted on the TikTok account of Salone Gossip Hub.
When the charge was read and explained, no plea was taken from the defendant.
The defendant’s counsel, C. Kamara, Esq., requested a short adjournment to secure bail on behalf of the defendant. However, Magistrate Fornah refused bail, citing the seriousness of the offense, and remanded Mohamed Moriba to the Male Correctional Center in Freetown.
The case has been adjourned to 10 March 2026 for further proceedings.
