The alleged cyber incitement case involving All People’s Congress (APC) politician Mohamed Moriba was on Wednesday adjourned at Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown.

Moriba, a former military officer and Southern Province Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the All People’s Congress (APC), appeared before Magistrate John Manso Fornah on a one-count charge of incitement contrary to law.

According to the particulars of the offence, the accused allegedly created an audio and video clip on Saturday, 27 December 2025, at Kamalo Village in the Karina Judicial District, North-East Province. The prosecution alleges that the content was inciting in nature and intended to cause mayhem, disorder, chaos, and unrest in the country. The material was reportedly published on a TikTok account known as Salone Gossip Hub.

When the charge was read and explained in court, no plea was taken from the accused.

Defence counsel J.B. Sesay, C. Kamara, and M. Bangura renewed their application for bail on behalf of Moriba. However, they informed the court that their lead counsel, who is expected to formally move the bail application, was unavailable due to a vehicle problem. They therefore requested a short adjournment to allow them to properly proceed with the bail application and the continuation of the trial.

Magistrate Fornah granted the request and adjourned the matter to 3 March 2026 for further hearing.
