100m Bail for three accused persons on alleged Conspiracy matter

Magistrate Sahr Keikura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown has on the 22nd June,2021 granted Le 100m bail to  Musa Kargbo, Daniel Sesay, Foday Sesay and Balla Darbor Sewaly  who were charged  on four counts Charges to wit Conspiracy to commit a felony contrary to law, House breaking and Larceny contrary to section 26 (1) and 13 (a) of the Larceny Act 1916, Malicious damage contrary to section 51 of the malicious damage Act 1861 and Accessory after the fact to house breaking and Larceny contrary to law.

According to the charge sheet on the 10 February 2021 at No.4 Regent road hill station the Western Area in Freetown conspired together with other persons unknown to commit a felony to wit house breaking and Larceny, and wit intent to steal, broke and entered into the dwelling house of Sao Kpato and Hannah Isata Max Kyne and stole there in the sum of fifteen million Leones (15,000,000,00,), the sum of nine thousand eight hundred dollars ($9,800) equivalent to one hundred and eighty million Leones (180,000,000,00) three set of gold necklaces valued at six thousand dollars ($6,000) equivalent to sixty million Leones (60,000,000,00) one pair set gold necklace and bracelet valued at ten thousand dollars ($10,000) equivalent to one hundred million Leones (100,000,000) and gold bracelet and earring valued at one thousand dollars ($1000) equivalent to ten million Leones (10,000,000,00) one diamond bracelet chain and earring valued five thousand dollars ($5000) equivalent to fifty million Leones (50,000,000,00) two set of silver chains, bracelet and earring valued at two thousand four hundred dollars ($2,400) equivalent to twenty four million Leones (24,000,000,00) and one Samsung note 10+ mobile phone valued one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) equivalent to fifteen million Leones (15,000,000,00) all to the total valued of four hundred and fifty four million Leones (454,000,000,00) property of  Sao Kpato and Hannah Isata Max Kyne.

And it was alleged on count three that the accused persons maliciously damaged one Slypnos Digital Security box(safe) valued forty nine dollars ($49) equivalent to five hundred thousand Leones (500,000,00) property of the said complainant.

The Lawyer representing both accused person Ibrahim S. Kamara cross examined the complainant, and renewed his application for bail for and on behalf of both accused persons.

Magistrate Keikura refused bail for the first accused person and granted bail to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd accused person in the sum of one hundred million Leones each or one surety each in like sum the sureties must be working in a recognize institution and they should produce their employment letter of the said institution the sureties should be resident in the western Area to be approved by the DAR.

The matter was prosecuted by State Counsel Juan M.S Bull adjourned to 28th June 2021.
