Twenty-year-old Hassan Bangura, a kekeh rider, and twenty-two-year-old Joseph Sahr Musa, a painter, appeared before Magistrate Medisah Massaquoi at Pademba Road Court No. 6 on charges of conspiracy to commit a felony, wounding with intent, wounding, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, contrary to Section 47 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.
According to the particulars of the offence, on Sunday, 28th December 2025, at 2 River Beach, Goderich, Western Area, Freetown, the defendants allegedly conspired with other unknown persons to commit a felony, specifically wounding with intent.
Further, it was alleged that on the same date and location, the defendants wounded Abubakarr Sesay with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Counts three and four stated that the defendants maliciously wounded and assaulted Abubakarr Sesay, thereby causing him actual bodily harm.
Prosecutor M.K. Johnson Esq. requested a short adjournment for the matter.
Defence counsel A. Sesay Esq. applied for bail on behalf of the defendants under Section 76(c) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2024.
Magistrate Massaquoi granted bail to both defendants in the sum of Le 20,000 each, with two sureties each. The sureties must be residents of Freetown and provide valid identification cards displaying their addresses. Bail approval is to be confirmed by the Deputy Assistant Registrar.
The case was adjourned to 30th January 2026 for the next hearing.
