The seminar brings together representatives from clubs, District Football Associations, and the Regional FA, with a focus on strengthening administrative efficiency, improving competition organization, and enhancing player registration and data management through the FIFA Connect system.
The opening ceremony was attended by SLFA Vice President 1, Ali Badara Tarawallie, NWRFA Chairman, Abdul Osman Turay, and NWRFA Secretary-General, Mohamed “Speaking” Kamara.
In his address, Vice President Tarawallie described the training as a key component of the SLFA’s regional capacity-building programme, aimed at improving the standard of competition management and player administration nationwide. He emphasized that enhancing football administration at grassroots and regional levels remains a top priority of the SLFA Executive Committee, led by SLFA President, Mr. Babadi Kamara.
“The effective management of competitions and accurate player data are fundamental to the growth and credibility of our game,” Tarawallie said, adding that the SLFA is committed to equipping administrators with the knowledge and tools to deliver professional and transparent football structures across the country.
In his remarks, NWRFA Chairman Abdul Osman Turay commended the SLFA for the *timely and transformative initiative, describing the seminar as a significant step toward improving football governance in the North-West Region. He highlighted the importance of digital player registration, data management, and administrative transparency for strengthening football structures at both district and club levels.
Chairman Turay urged all participants to fully engage with the seminar, noting that the skills gained will be critical in developing strong, professional football administration across the region.
The two-day seminar will include technical sessions on competition planning, regulatory compliance, and practical application of the FIFA Connect system, as the SLFA continues its efforts to professionalize football administration throughout Sierra Leone.
