An atmosphere of excitement and jubilation filled Bo City on Saturday, 20th December 2025, as Mr. Boima Bindi Yokie emerged as the grand winner of this year’s Ram Kamara Foreign Exchange Bureau Raffle Draw.
Amid applause and cheers, Yokie was visibly moved to tears when his name was announced, confirming him as the winner of a brand-new motorbike valued at Thirty-Five Thousand Leones. The raffle draw was part of the Bureau’s end-of-year customer appreciation activities in Bo.
Speaking at the event, Managing Director and CEO of Ram Kamara Foreign Exchange Bureau, Alhaji Alusine Kamara, explained that the raffle draw was conducted based on clear and transparent criteria tied to customer transactions throughout the year. He noted that for every financial transaction carried out with the Bureau in 2025, customers were issued raffle tickets, giving them the opportunity to participate in the draw.
Alhaji Kamara added that special consideration was given to regular customers, highlighting that Yokie’s consistent engagement with the Bureau qualified him for this category, ultimately leading to his win.
He further disclosed that the raffle draw also featured several other attractive and consolation prizes for general customers who transact with the Bureau, as part of efforts to reward loyalty and encourage continued patronage.
The CEO emphasized that his business vision in Sierra Leone goes beyond profit-making and job creation. He said his investments aim to complement government development initiatives and empower vulnerable individuals to realize their full potential.
“My investments, ranging from construction companies to foreign exchange operations, have contributed significantly to improving the lives of people, regardless of their educational background,” he noted.
Alhaji Kamara also revealed that he is currently constructing an ultra-modern clock tower at the Ngalu Road/Fenton Road roundabout in Bo, a project valued at millions of leones. He described the project as a landmark development with unique designs that will further demonstrate his commitment to supporting government-led urban development.
Responding to his win, an elated Boima Bindi Yokie expressed profound gratitude to God for selecting him among the regular customers. He described the win as unexpected, noting that “God works in mysterious ways.” Yokie pledged to continue, and even increase, his financial transactions with Ram Kamara Foreign Exchange Bureau in the coming years, reaffirming his loyalty to the institution.
The event concluded on a celebratory note, reinforcing the Bureau’s commitment to customer appreciation and community development in Bo and beyond.
