The Sierra Leone Volleyball Federation (SLVF) Executive, led by Hon. Ahmed Khanu, has successful concluded on the 2025 National Volleyball Championship, held at the Hill Station Lawn Tennis Court on 21st December 2025.
The championship attracted stakeholders from all walks of life and enjoyed strong support from Africell Mobile Company. The tournament served as a platform for identifying new volleyball talents, clearly demonstrating the steady growth and development of the association.
It will be recalled that only a few days ago, the federation proudly returned home with medals from international competitions, another sign of progress. We sincerely hope that the National Sports Authority (NSA) and the Ministry of Sports (MOS) will continue to support volleyball to enable it to excel in all aspects.
In the grand finale, Young Stars Female Volleyball Club emerged as the Female Champions of the 2025 Sierra Leone Volleyball Federation National Club Championship. In a thrilling encounter at Hill Station Court, Young Stars defeated Young Unit VC of Makeni in a fiercely contested five-set battle, sealing victory with a dramatic 16–14 score line in the deciding set.
Forcians Male Volleyball Club are the 2025 VFSL National Club Champions after defeating Marampa Spikes at the Hill Station Court.
Sulaiman Bangura was named Most Valuable Player as Forcians won 2 sets to 1 to seal the title. A championship triumph achieved in a truly grand style.
In another development,Ahmed Khanou Retains Volleyball Federation Sierra Leone Presidency, after being elected unopposed at the Volleyball Federation Sierra Leone elective congress held today at the national tennis ground, Hill Station in Freetown.
Other elected members are Alex J. Bhonapha Esq re-elected as Secretary General, while the position of Assistant Secretary General goes to Sulaiman Charles Checkesiol and Kadiatu Conteh – Gender and Minority Representative.
