Five individuals Mariatu Bangura, Alhassan Sankoh (both cleaners), Katimu Sillah, Noah Koroma (a bike rider), and Fatmata Sillah appeared before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2 on Thursday, 18 December 2025. They face three charges including conspiracy contrary to law. Larceny by Servant contrary to Section 17(1)(a) of the Larceny Act 1916. Accessory after the fact contrary to Section 35 of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of the offence, on 26 August 2025, at #8 Author Drive, First Bango, Goderich, Western Area, Freetown, the defendants allegedly conspired with others unknown to commit larceny by servant.

Count Two stated that, on the same date and location, the defendants, while employed by Zahra Khadar, allegedly stole $25,000 belonging to her.

Count Three alleged that the second and fourth defendants, knowing that Mariatu Bangura (alias Sampa) and Alhassan Sankoh had stolen the money, assisted, maintained, and comforted them in committing the theft.

When the charges were read and explained, all defendants pleaded not guilty.

Police Constable 18235 Thoronka K led prosecution witness number five, DSI Kalie Saidu Kamara, attached to Lumley Police Station, who is responsible for the custody of all exhibits. He testified that on 1 September 2025, he received NLe 2,000 as an exhibit in relation to the case, registered it in the Crime Exhibit Boo under Serial Number 51/2025, and subsequently tendered it in court as Exhibit M.

During cross-examination, M.Y. Conteh, representing the third, fourth, and fifth defendants, informed the bench that he intended to file a no-case submission on behalf of his clients on the next date.

Magistrate Fornah subsequently adjourned the case to 7 January 2026 for the hearing of the no-case submission.
