The proprietor of Yamba Motor Garage in Koidu City has called on the youths to help clean the municipality of Koidu especially the road leading to D. O. Barracks where most of the government offices are situated and the district as a whole.
Augustine Yamba made the appeal when talking to this medium with regards community participation for development.
According to him as empty bags do not stand he has asked every youth group interested in the cleaning of the city of Koidu to meet him for what he called logistical support for the work to be done timely and effectively.
As youths I expect you to work for your community and the country because you are the dynamo of every given society Mr. Yamba opined as he further puts it “DO not ask what your country can do for you but rather ask what you can do for your country”.
He pointed out that majority of the youths that are out of employment is as a result of laziness because since he made the clarion call no youth has ever met him for his support to do the said work but youths are found all over the place with their common slogan “Pa you borbor dae oh” or “Uncle low waetin now?” which he says is a recipe for human resource deficiency in the country.
Meanwhile, as a development agent the proprietor of Yamba Motor Garage has hired his workers to clean from former Gulf to D. O Barracks in the absent of other youths to do the work on the basis of basic support.
The Chief of D. O. Barracks community Chief Conteh intimated this medium that this was not the first time for Augustine Yamba to undertake such community development noting that since 1980 Mr. Yamba has proven himself to be a philanthropist and an agent of development.
“As the cleaning exercise is ongoing I urged all and sundry to help clean the city of Koidu especially the following areas and streets: Main Kainkordu road, Yardu road, Gbense market to name but a few as health is wealth”.The proprietor of Yamba Motor Garage concluded.
