In an impressive display of skill, FC Kallon’s female team secured a commanding 5-0 victory over the Ascentonians in the ongoing Marampa Mines Women’s Premier League 2025/2.
The goal scorers for FC Kallon were Aminata Conteh and Fatmata M. Turay, who each scored twice, while Marian Sankoh and Abdulwaeed B. Wosilat added a goal each to complete the emphatic win.
This victory propels FC Kallon to six points from their first two matches, marking a strong start to their league campaign. Ascentonians, meanwhile, are still seeking their first win of the season. Aminata Conte was named Woman of the Match for her outstanding contribution on the field.
At the Approved Schools Playing Field, Kahunla Queens comfortably defeated VEM Buck 2-0, with both goals coming in the first half. Star forward Ruth M. Bawoh scored twice, bringing her season tally to four goals in just two matches. Ruth has also claimed back-to-back Woman of the Match awards, following her consecutive braces in the opening fixtures of the league. Kahunla Queens are currently second in the league standings, winning both of their first two matches.
Meanwhile, at the Kenema Town Field, Mariatu H. Conteh’s 64th-minute goal secured all three points for Mena Queen in an away victory.
