The Director General of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), Mohamed Fuaad Daboh, paid an inspection visit on Sunday, 16th November 2025, to the newly constructed NASSIT District Office in Moyamba, ahead of its official commissioning.
Speaking after the inspection, Mr. Daboh reminded the team that the District Office was the result of a needs assessment conducted in 2023 to expand the Trust’s services to the district. He expressed his appreciation to His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Rtd. Brigadier General Julius Maada Bio, for his commitment, support, and political will in ensuring that every Sierra Leonean is socially protected.
“Our determination to expand our services to all corners of the country is driven by the President’s desire to bring social protection to every Sierra Leonean,” Mr. Daboh emphasized.
The Director General further congratulated the contractors for a job well done, saying, “This is the true spirit of being a Sierra Leonean. We should endeavor to give our best to our country whenever we have the opportunity.”
Mr. Daboh also highlighted that the new office would not only increase NASSIT’s visibility but also bring services closer to the people of Moyamba. “This office will create increased revenue growth and job opportunities for the people of Moyamba,” he added.
The Director General urged the designated District Manager to fully utilize the new facility and provide efficient services to the community. “This office is here to bring services closer to our people. The objective should be achieved nothing more, nothing less,” Mr. Daboh said.
Deputy Director General in charge of Operations, Edwin Mohamed Kamara, assured the Director General that the true value of the District Office would be realized. He also urged the Head of Administration, Regional Coordinator, and Regional Manager (South) to carefully address any remaining issues on the snag list before the office’s commissioning.
The designated District Manager, Samuel Margai, expressed his appreciation to the Director General and NASSIT Management for entrusting him with this responsibility. He pledged to ensure the full potential of the office is realized.
