Top European scouts Finland and Estonia have arrived Sierra Leone, ahead of Sierra’s International Academy in Collaboration with AFRI Talent Academy SL’s coaching youth development program, scouting, talent identification, and recruitment of players for international opportunities.
The scouts, Mihkel-HJK Helsinki (Finland), Tartu welco (Estonia) and Patrick-Sc Espinho (Portugal) arrive in Freetown on Tuesday morning, while four others are expected in the country ahead of this weekend for the first ever premier soccer showcase scouting event billed to take place from November 15-21th, across the country.
Proudly brought to Sierra Leone People with pride by former Leone Stars Captain now player-coach, Steven Caulker and the international Youth developer and scout for Sierra Leone – Morlai Kamara.
Tour Schedule: Saturday, November 15th: Showcase – Kono, Eastern Region
Monday, November 17th: Showcase – Makeni, Northern Region
Wednesday, November 19th: Showcase – Bo, Southern Region
Friday, November 21st: Showcase – Freetown, Western Area
The event anticipated being a great success, and hopes to offer developmental contributions, where some of the players discovered will be able to move their career in a positive direction.
One of the scouts noted said he is looking for young talents that we can offer some development and present to some of their clubs abroad and some of the school academies where the ones that want to go that route will be able to embrace. So, they are just looking forward to a successful event where they can move their careers to a positive direction.
