This remarkable individual has played a central role in the organization, convening, and successful execution of the 10th APS-HRMnet Annual Conference in Freetown, Sierra Leone. From the moment he graciously accepted the responsibility of hosting this landmark event, his leadership, foresight, and personal engagement inspired excellence in planning, coordination, and delivery. What began as a continental gathering has evolved into a historic celebration of African public-sector innovation and collaboration.
As the Minister of Public Administration and Political Affairs, Honourable Amara Kallon stands at the heart of Sierra Leone’s ongoing transformation agenda. Under his leadership, the Ministry has spearheaded significant reforms aligned with the Big Five Agenda, which focus on enhancing institutional capacity, accountability, and service delivery. Minister Kallon has been instrumental in redefining the public sector’s framework, introducing the Civil Service Code, and driving the digitization of human resource management across the public service all efforts aimed at creating a modern, efficient, and citizen-centered administration.
A respected mover and seasoned administrator, Minister Kallon’s extensive experience in both the public and political spheres of Sierra Leone, as well as the wider West African region, has positioned him as a thought leader and change agent. His conviction that the public sector can and must deliver more when guided by effective reform and visionary leadership continues to inspire those under his charge and beyond.
