The Sierra Leone Volleyball Association (SLVA) has held intensive training ahead of the Olympic game’s qualifiers, and Africa World qualifiers.
According to head coach of the SLVA Sorie Kamara, the team has been in an intensive training for the past three months to help prepare ahead of the task at hand.
Both male and female players are currently receiving technical skills to help develop and sharpen their abilities before the qualifiers.
He affirmed that the essence of the training is to give opportunity to new players to compete with some senior players so that they can have a better chance to represent the Country in the qualifiers.
The Association is currently working on a National tournament where they will tap new players that will be needed for international games.
The new opening games will take place in Kono the Eastern part of the Country and the 15th July 2021 has been slated for the events.
The Sierra Leone Volleyball Association will also be embark on a nationwide tour where the technical team will be able to get the right skills that will be used for future international tournaments.
Over the years the Association has represented the Country in so many international tournaments.
The last tournament was the Commonwealth’s games where they proved to be outstanding in that competition.
