According to the charge sheet, between January 1, 2024, and August 10, 2025, the accused allegedly conspired to defraud their employer by illegally accessing Orange’s computer systems and diverting funds via electronic money transfers.

The prosecution outlined the thefts as follows Foday Turay is accused of stealing NLe 2,453,647 using SIM number +23278407365. Amadu Koroma is alleged to have stolen NLe 1,051,438 through two SIM cards. Mohamed Kamara allegedly stole NLe 259,832. Cecilia Amara is said to have diverted NLe 156,031. All five defendants are also charged under the Cyber Security and Crime Act of 2021 (Act No. 7 of 2021) with unauthorized access to a computer system, data interception, system interference, and computer fraud.

After the charges were read and explained, the accused did not enter any plea.

Prosecutor ASP Kamara informed the court that the investigation file was incomplete and requested a short adjournment. In response, Defense Counsel H. Kargbo applied for bail, arguing that the accused had credible sureties and would appear for trial. However, Magistrate Kallon denied bail, citing the seriousness of the charges and the ongoing investigation.

As a result, the matter was adjourned pending further investigation. Magistrate Kallon ordered that the accused remain in custody.
