Twenty-one-year-old Dennis Fofanah, a student, made another appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown, facing charges of housebreaking and larceny, contrary to Section 26(1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to the particulars of the offense, on Friday, 12th September 2025, at #15 George Brook, Dwarzark, in the Western Area of Freetown, the defendant allegedly broke into the dwelling house of James Tommy Beah and stole one Apple AirPod, valued at two thousand four hundred Leones (Le 2,400), and physical cash amounting to fifteen thousand Leones (Le 15,000). The total value of the stolen items was seventeen thousand nine hundred Leones (Le 17,900), all the property of James Tommy Beah.

When the charge was read and explained to the defendant, no plea was taken.

The prosecutor, Detective Police Constable 12th Thoronka K.K, requested a short adjournment to call his witness.

Counsel representing the defendant renewed and adopted his previous bail application on behalf of the defendant.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Fornah granted bail to the defendant in the sum of twenty thousand Leones (Le 20,000), with one surety in like sum. The surety must be a resident of Freetown and produce a valid identity card showing their address in Freetown. Bail will be approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar. The matter has been adjourned to 27th October 2025.
