Musa Beretay Esq. Inspires Pupils at KONSU Orientation Program

On October 10, 2025, the Kono Student Union (KONSU) organized a Pupils Orientation Program at Fachima Hall, Koidu City. The event aimed to help secondary school pupils prepare for the transition into university and college life.

The program brought together a distinguished group of speakers and community leaders who shared valuable insights and experiences with the pupils. Among the invited dignitaries were His Worship Komba Mathew Sam, Mayor of Koidu City, Moses Ferewa Kamara, Registrar at UNIMTech and James Tamba Lebbie, Lecturer at Fourah Bay College, and other respected guests.

A key highlight of the event was the presence of Musa Beretay Esq., an accomplished Legal Counsel, philanthropist, and youth mentor. His invitation held special significance, as he is not only a respected professional in the legal field but also a long-standing member and former leader within KONSU. Mr. Beretay’s remarkable history with the Union includes serving as National Presidential Spokesman under the leadership of Tamba Saquee Kamanda, Deputy Secretary-General of KONSU’s Milton Margai College branch and Summer School Coordinator for two consecutive years (2005 and 2006)

Drawing from his background in law and community service, Musa Beretay Esq. delivered an inspiring presentation on the theme “The Law, Human Rights, and the Responsibilities of Citizens.” In his address, he emphasized how the law interacts with human rights, highlighting that every right comes with corresponding responsibilities.

The KONSU Pupils Orientation Program 2025 successfully achieved its goal of preparing pupils for higher education and personal development. The contributions of speakers like Musa Beretay Esq. made the event both educational and inspiring.
