Three individuals Foday Konneh, a farmer; Abdulai Kamara, also known as “Rasta’r”; and Ishmael Feika, a contractor made their first appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at the Pademba Road Court No.2 in Freetown.
The defendants face a three-count charge of conspiracy to commit murder and murder, contrary to Section 4 and Section 1 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861, as amended and replaced by Section 1(a) of the Abolition of the Death Penalty Act 2021 (Act No. 6 of 2022).
According to the details of the case, on Wednesday, 24th September 2025, at Youth Farm, Loko Feika, Juba Hill in the Western Area of Freetown, the defendants allegedly conspired with other unknown individuals to commit murder.
Additionally, on counts two and three, it is further alleged that Abdulai Kamara and Foday Konneh murdered Yusifu Bangura on the same date and at the same location.
When the charges were read to the defendants, no plea was entered.
Prosecutor Deputy Superintendent of Police Sorie Conteh informed the Magistrate that all necessary documents had been served to the defense, which was confirmed by the defense counsel.
Magistrate Fornah subsequently ordered that the defendants be remanded at the Male Correctional Centre and adjourned the case to 17th October 2025 for further hearing.
